Product Description
Amsoil Diesel Recovery (DRC) is an emergency diesel fuel treatment that dissolves the wax crystals that form when diesel fuel has surpassed its cloud point. Diesel Recovery liquefies gelled diesel fuel and thaws frozen fuel filters, avoiding costly towing charges and getting diesels back on the road.
Amsoil, the leader in automotive synthetic lubrication, produced the world’s first API-qualified synthetic motor oil in 1972. Trust the extensive experience of Amsoil, The First in Synthetics®, to do the best job protecting your engine.
Fast Fuel Recovery
Diesel applications operating in extremely cold environments face some unique challenges. As the temperature drops, wax naturally found in diesel fuel begins to form crystals. The point at which wax crystals form is known as the cloud point. These wax crystals can eventually clog the fuel filter and starve the engine of fuel, preventing it from starting or even stalling out a running engine.
Amsoil Diesel Recovery quickly dissolves gelled fuel to allow the operator to continue driving with minimal downtime. Diesel Recovery separates the molecular bonds of wax crystals that have agglomerated in diesel fuel. It thaws frozen fuel filters and reduces the need for a new filter, saving money and preventing an inconvenient trip to an auto parts store.

Quickly Dissolves Gelled Fuel
Thaws Frozen Fuel Filters
Performs Well in ULSD, Off-Road & Biodiesel
Alcohol-Free
Non-Corrosive
Works Well in Many Diesel Blends
The marketplace offers many different diesel fuels, all with varying quality. Amsoil Diesel Recovery performs well in most diesel fuels, including ULSD, off-road and biodiesel.
Non-Corrosive, Alcohol-Free Formulation
Over extended use, alcohol has a tendency to degrade components of some fuel delivery systems. Amsoil Diesel Recovery contains no alcohol, making it safe for repeated treatments. In addition, Diesel Recovery is non-corrosive and contains no chemicals that interact with fuel system components. Corrosion can damage fuel system components and lead to prematurely-clogged fuel filters.
Safety in a Bottle
Diesel fuel quality varies from one filling station to the next, and low-quality fuel can have a cloud point as high as 40°F. A bottle of Diesel Recovery in the glove box is cheap insurance against being towed to a service station or getting stranded somewhere in subzero temperatures.
Recommendations
One 30oz. bottle of Diesel Recovery treats 30 gallons of fuel. When encountering a gelled fuel system, Amsoil recommends taking the following steps for maximum effectiveness:
Remove the existing fuel filter.
The filter can be reused, or a new filter can be installed.
Fill the replacement fuel filter with Amsoil Diesel Recovery.
Install the replacement filter.
Add the remaining Diesel Recovery to the fuel tank.
Start the engine and allow the fuel system to circulate until full power has been restored.

AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow (DFC) combines the superior deposit-removing properties of AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean and the excellent anti-gelling properties of AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow in one convenient package. It is designed for all types of diesel engines, including high-pressure common-rail designs. Unlike all-in-one fuel additives that may sacrifice performance in specific areas in the name of convenience, AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow makes no sacrifices; it is purpose-built for diesel owners who demand maximum results.
Restores Horsepower & Improves Fuel Economy
Fuel injector deposits interrupt spray patterns, causing poor fuel atomization, incomplete combustion, excessive emissions and smoke. High-pressure common-rail fuel systems are becoming commonplace as vehicle manufacturers attempt to produce more power while still meeting tightening emissions standards. In high-pressure common-rail systems, injection pressures near 30,000 psi atomize the fuel into a fine mist for more efficient combustion, yielding increased power and fuel economy while reducing emissions. To maintain these high pressures, injector assemblies are highly engineered, with clearances as tight as 1-3 microns (a human hair is typically 70-100 microns thick). Even minimal internal diesel injector deposits on the injector pintal or other components can lead to sticking and even seizure, reducing power, fuel economy and operability. Traditional additive chemistry is not designed to address these tough-to-remove deposits.
AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow features advanced chemistry that delivers concentrated strength to target internal diesel injector deposits and traditional carbonaceous deposits, restoring horsepower and operability to like-new condition and improving fuel economy up to 4.5 percent. Acceleration is improved and, with regular use, AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow continues to enhance performance by keeping injectors clean. The net savings on fuel can result in no additional cost of ownership.
Ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuel (ULSD) has significantly reduced lubricity – a critical property in controlling wear in fuel pumps and injectors. AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow adds back the lubricity the fuel pump and injectors need, improving service life, while saving time and money on maintenance costs.
Helps Prevent Gelling
As the temperature drops, the wax naturally found in diesel fuel begins to crystallize. The point at which wax crystals form is known as the cloud point. These wax crystals eventually clog the fuel filter and starve the engine of fuel, preventing it from starting. While low-quality fuels may form wax crystals in temperatures as warm as 40ºF (4ºC), most fuels have a cloud point near 32ºF (0ºC). The point at which the crystals clog the fuel filter is known as the cold filter-plugging point (CFPP). AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow lowers the CFPP by up to 20ºF (15ºC) in ULSD.
Cleans dirty injectors
Adds lubricity to reduce fuel-pump & injector wear
Improves fuel economy up to 4.5 percent
Disperses water to control ice formation & prevent gelling
Improves diesel cold-flow ability by up to 20ºF (15ºC)
Minimizes Soot-Loading
AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow’s powerful formula cleans fuel injectors and piston rings for improved combustion and better sealing. It minimizes soot generated from incomplete combustion and helps keep soot out of the crankcase, reducing soot-related wear and motor oil viscosity increase.
Reduces Need for #1 Diesel Fuel
Using #1 diesel fuel is one traditional solution to cold-weather diesel fuel problems. While #1 diesel fuel has an advantage in low-temperature operability, the energy content of #1 diesel fuel is about 95 percent that of #2 diesel fuel, resulting in reduced fuel economy and less horsepower. In addition, the kerosene used in #1 diesel fuel provides less lubrication for the fuel pump and fuel injectors, increasing the likelihood of wear. AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow minimizes the need for blending standard #2 diesel fuel with lower-quality #1 diesel fuel, helping to maintain fuel economy and keep engines functioning normally.
Recommendations
AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow is recommended for use with all types of heavy- and light-duty, on- or off-road and marine diesel engines. Use maintenance dose for regular treatment. Add before filling tank. AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow must be added at temperatures above the diesel fuel cloud point (the temperature at which wax begins to crystallize). It will not reverse gel or wax crystals once formed. Do not store at temperatures below 0ºF (-18ºC). Excellent for use with AMSOIL Diesel Cetane Boost.

High Pressure Common Rail Fuel Injector Pintal
Standard Common Rail Fuel Injector Pintal
Fuel injectors in high-pressure common-rail diesel engines use smaller, highly engineered components to produce the higher fuel pressures needed for improved combustion. The tighter clearances invite internal diesel injector deposits that interfere with injector needle actuation, reducing performance. External deposits can also form on the injector nozzle (the typical trouble spot for traditional injectors). While many other fuel additives have yet to catch up to the internal diesel injector deposit problem, AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean targets deposits wherever they form, maximizing power, fuel economy and performance in high-pressure common-rail and traditional diesel engines.

Amsoil Motorcycle Octane Boost increases octane for power and efficiency plus it is designed to improve startup performance and eliminate engine ping and knock for increased power at low-rpm operation. Contains detergents that help combustion chambers and fuel delivery systems maintain cleanliness for optimum performance.
Amsoil Motorcycle Octane Boost (MOB)
Product Highlights
Increases octane for power and efficiency. It is designed to improve startup performance and eliminate engine ping and knock for increased power at low-rpm operation. Contains detergents that help combustion chambers and fuel delivery systems maintain cleanliness for optimum performance.
When treated at 1.3 oz. per gallon of fuel, Motorcycle Motorcycle Octane Boost increases the octane of gasoline up to three numbers. Increased octane improves power and can eliminate performance-robbing and potentially damaging engine knock or ping (see below).
Improves Low-rpm Performance
Engine knock is especially noticeable in some motorcycles during idle or low-rpm operation and high-temperature driving. Most modern bikes are equipped with sophisticated knock-detection systems that can alter spark timing and the air-to-fuel mixture until knock ceases. Although these systems protect the engine from damage, they can also cause reduced horsepower and poor low-rpm operability. AMSOIL Motorcycle Motorcycle Octane Boost helps reduce the need for knock-detection systems to compensate, ensuring maximum low-rpm power and performance in modern bikes.
Cleans Harmful Deposits
Because Motorcycle Motorcycle Octane Boost contains active detergents, it can help maintain efficiency. For clean up, however, AMSOIL recommends treating gasoline with AMSOIL Quickshot®, which contains a greater concentration of cleaning agents.
What is engine knock and why does it matter?
The tendency of a hydrocarbon fuel, such as gasoline, to knock is measured by its octane number. Lower numbers denote a greater knock tendency; higher numbers denote greater knock control. Engine knock is a reference to the sound made from an uncontrolled and early ignition of fuel in the combustion chamber. It causes a knocking or pinging sound, robs the engine of power and can cause catastrophic engine damage. Knock may be eliminated by increasing the fuel’s octane.
What is Research Octane Number?
Research Octane Number (RON), Motor Octane Number (MON) and Anti-Knock Index (AKI) are the three most common octane ratings. AKI, the rating with which most North American motorists are familiar, is typically displayed on gas pumps as the average of the fuel’s RON and MON [(R+M)/2]. RON, however, is the most common industry rating. Therefore, AMSOIL uses the RON rating when conducting performance tests and product validation. Gasoline’s RON generally is a few numbers higher than the AKI posted on the gas pump (e.g. 87 octane fuel, or regular pump gas, has a RON of about 91-92).

When marketing their products, some additive manufacturers have adopted a points system where 10 points equals one octane number. A claim that an additive increases octane 30 points translates into an increase of three octane numbers. This approach is often used only to artificially strengthen marketing claims and is not endorsed by AMSOIL.
Treat Rate
One 4-oz. bottle of AMSOIL Motorcycle Motorcycle Octane Boost treats four to six gallons of gasoline.
Applications
Motorcycle Motorcycle Octane Boost is primarily recommended for use in four-stroke air- or liquid-cooled motorcycles manufactured by Harley-Davidson®, Yamaha®, Honda®, Ducati®, BMW®, Triumph® and all other four-stroke motorcycles. It may be used in off-road applications, including ATVs, UTVs and snowmobiles, as an alternative to AMSOIL DOMINATOR® Motorcycle Octane Boost.
Note: Clean spills immediately using a clean towel. If left standing, Motorcycle Octane Boost can stain painted or metal surfaces. If cleaned immediately, there is no need for concern.
Amsoil Dominator® Octane Boost maximizes power and improves performance in all two-cycle and four-cycle gasoline engines. Increases octane up to 4 numbers. Reduces engine knock, improves ignition and engine response, helps fuel burn cleaner and inhibits corrosion. Recommended for off-road and racing use.
Amsoil Octane Boost (AOB)
Product Highlights
Maximizes power and improves performance in all two-cycle and four-cycle gasoline engines. Increases octane up to 4 numbers. Reduces engine knock, improves ignition and engine response, helps fuel burn cleaner and inhibits corrosion. Recommended for off-road and racing use.
AMSOIL DOMINATOR® Octane Boost (AOB) significantly increases engine response and power in all two- and four-stroke gasoline-fueled engines by increasing octane up to four numbers. Just one treatment reduces engine knock, improves ignition and helps fuel burn cleaner. DOMINATOR Octane Boost is the recommended octane boost for all high-performance off-road and racing applications. Most users find one 12-ounce bottle of DOMINATOR Octane Boost for 15 gallons of gasoline provides the ideal performance increase. DOMINATOR Octane Boost is also excellent as a lead substitute at the same treat rates in collector automobiles, older off-road equipment and pleasure vehicles.
What is “engine knock” and why does it matter?
“Knock” is an uncontrolled and explosive ignition of a hydrocarbon fuel, such as gasoline, in the combustion chamber. It causes a knocking or pinging sound, robs the engine of power and, left unchecked, causes serious engine damage. Fuel’s tendency to knock is measured by its octane number. Lower numbers denote greater knock tendency; higher numbers denote greater knock control. Knock may be eliminated with the appropriate octane number.

Amsoil Gasoline Stabilizer reduces the oxidation process that occurs when fuel is stored for extended periods to prevent the formation of varnish and sludge which can clog injectors, stick floats and cause poor engine performance. Ideal for stored seasonal equipment such as snowmobiles, lawnmowers, motorcycles and boats.
Amsoil Gasoline Stabilizer (AST)
Product Highlights
Reduces the oxidation process that occurs when fuel is stored for extended periods to prevent the formation of varnish and sludge which can clog injectors, stick floats and cause poor engine performance. Ideal for stored seasonal equipment such as snowmobiles, lawnmowers, motorcycles and boats.
For maximum convenience and cost-effectiveness, equipment and vehicles used seasonally, such as motorcycles, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, snowblowers, outboard motors and classic cars, need to start easily and run properly when removed from storage. Gasoline, however, is not formulated for long-term storage and can start to degrade in as little as 30 days. Degraded fuel leads to varnish and sludge that clog injectors, fuel lines and carburetors; stick floats; and cause poor engine performance, starting problems, increased maintenance expenses and decreased equipment life.
AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer (AST) inhibits the oxidation process that occurs when fuel is stored for extended periods, improving performance, extending equipment life and decreasing maintenance expenses.
Delivers Confidence
Treating fuel with AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer prior to storing equipment provides confidence. It offers peace of mind that equipment will not only start when it is needed, but will also perform properly.
Eliminates Need to Drain Fuel
Draining fuel from equipment can not only be difficult, it invites corrosion on the bare metal in the tank and drying and cracking of gaskets and seals. Some fuels are pre-treated with oxidation inhibitors that allow them to be stored for short periods without forming excessive deposits, while other fuels have no inhibitors at all. AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer eliminates the need to drain fuel from equipment before long-term storage. It fights fuel deterioration, severely limiting the formation of damaging varnish and deposits to help extend equipment life.
Decreases Maintenance
Deposits, varnish and sludge that form from degraded fuel can cause important components in the fuel system to become clogged or stuck and require thorough cleaning or replacement. AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer helps reduce maintenance time and costs by preventing harmful deposits from forming in the tank and fuel system, eliminating the need to clean or replace carburetors after long-term storage.
Helps keep fuel from deteriorating
Protects against varnish and gum buildup
Fights ethanol corrosion
Applications
AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer is engineered for use in, but not limited to, motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, UTVs, outboard motors, stern-drive and inboard marine engines, personal watercraft, lawn equipment, chainsaws, snowblowers, portable generators, handheld power equipment, motor scooters, powered farm equipment, powered construction equipment, cars and trucks.
Dosage recommendation
One ounce of AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer treats 2.5 gallons of fuel, including fuel that contains up to 10 percent ethanol.
Before storing equipment, treat it with the appropriate dose of AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer. Let the engine run for five to 10 minutes to thoroughly circulate the additive through the fuel system. Stop the engine and store the equipment in a dry, covered location.

Amsoil Quickshot® premium fuel additive formulated to thoroughly clean and restore peak performance in small engine and powersports equipment fuel systems.
Amsoil Quickshot® (AQS)
Product Highlights
Premium fuel additive formulated to thoroughly clean and restore peak performance in small engine and powersports equipment fuel systems.
Degraded fuel presents a major maintenance issue in small engines and powersports equipment. It can form varnish, gum and insoluble debris that clog carburetors, fuel injectors and fuel filters. Carbon buildup can form on the tops of pistons, causing pre-ignition, rough idling and poor throttle response. Fuel-related problems are only expected to intensify in the coming years as the ethanol content in pump gasoline continues to increase.
AMSOIL Quickshot (AQS) is a premium fuel additive formulated to thoroughly clean and restore peak performance in small engine and powersports equipment fuel systems. It also stabilizes fuel between uses and during short-term storage. Its revolutionary technology focuses on three major fuel-related issues plaguing these applications: ethanol, water and dirty pump gas.
Ethanol
Ethanol in fuel has a tendency to absorb water and separate from the gasoline (a process known as phase separation), sinking to the bottom of the gas tank where it quickly degrades and creates gum, varnish and other insoluble debris that can plug fuel-flow passages and negatively affect engine performance. When this ethanol/water mixture is pulled into the engine, it creates a lean-burn situation that increases combustion chamber temperatures and can lead to engine damage. AMSOIL Quickshot is designed to keep water dispersed throughout the fuel tank, moving it out as a normal part of operation and decreasing the chance of ethanol separating from the gasoline.
Quickshot was tested in fuel containing 10 percent ethanol. Controlled plugging of injectors showed a 70 percent flow improvement, while oxidation stability improved 44 percent over untreated fuel.
Water
Water finds its way into gas tanks through condensation in tanks open to the atmosphere, gas pumps and other environmental conditions, and if left untreated, will cause starting, performance and corrosion problems. By keeping water dispersed in tiny molecules and safely moving it out of the tank through the combustion chamber, Quickshot helps maintain engine performance and protects against damaging corrosion.
Dirty Gasoline
Dirty gasoline causes fuel-system gumming and varnish, as well as piston and combustion chamber deposits. Although all gasoline sold in the U.S. is formulated with a lowest additive concentration (LAC) level of detergent additives, these detergent levels are not enough to prevent deposits from building up on critical fuel system components. Quickshot contains unique chemistry that quickly detaches and carries away deposits and buildups in fuel systems, injectors and carburetors, while also cleaning hard-to-remove deposits on piston tops, spark plugs and other combustion chamber parts.
Applications
Quickshot (AQS) is recommended for use in all two- and four-stroke gasoline-powered engines, including motorcycles, snowmobiles, boats, personal watercraft, ATVs, edgers, tillers, mowers, snowblowers, chainsaws, generators and farm and construction equipment. However, AMSOIL P.i.® Performance Improver is the superior choice for passenger vehicle applications.
Recommendations
Quickshot is designed for an initial clean-up dose of 8 oz. per 6 gallons of gasoline, followed by 8 oz. per 12 gallons thereafter. Slight overtreatment has no negative consequences.
AMSOIL P.i. Performance Improver Gasoline Additive improves fuel mileage an average of 2.3% and up to 5.7%. P.i. improves fuel mileage an average of 2.3% and up to 5.7%. Reduces emissions such as hydrocarbons (HC) up to 15%, carbon monoxide (CO) up to 26% and nitrous oxides (NOx) up to 17%. Restores power and performance. Reduces the need for costly higher octane fuel. (API)
A vehicle demonstrates its best efficiency and engine performance when it is new. As the engine ages, its performance suffers from gasoline fuel-generated deposits that form on the fuel injectors, intake valves and combustion chamber. Additives are required to control deposit formation.
Today’s fuels, however, lack sufficient treatments of either enough additives or high quality additives. Fuel system deposits result in the following:
AMSOIL P.i. is the most potent gasoline additive available today. As a concentrated detergent, it is unsurpassed in cleaning combustion chamber deposits, intake valve deposits and port fuel injector deposits. AMSOIL P.i. helps maintain peak engine efficiency, fuel economy, power and drivability in newer low mileage engines. In engines with accumulated deposits, testing showed AMSOIL P.i. provided the following clean-up benefits after only one tank of gasoline:
Improves fuel mileage an average of 2.3% and up to 5.7%
Reduced emissions
hydrocarbons (HC) up to 15%
carbon monoxide (CO) up to 26%
nitrous oxides (NOx) up to 17%
Restored power and performance
Reduced need for costly higher octane fuel
Reduced noise from carbon rap and pre-ignition
Better drivability
Smoother operation
AMSOIL P.i. works as an emissions passer. It is ideal for use prior to emissions inspections.
Unsurpassed Deposit Clean-up
Port Fuel Injector Deposits form after the engine has been shut down and there is no gasoline flowing through the injectors. During this “hot soak” period the injectors heat up and the gasoline remaining in the injectors degrades and forms deposits. This can happen very quickly with the use of poor quality gasoline and short trip driving. Because the clearances within the injectors are extremely tight and injectors must deliver precise amounts of “atomized” fuel, even small amounts of deposits can cause injectors to malfunction. Fuel flow is reduced and spray patterns are disrupted, decreasing engine efficiency, power and fuel economy, while increasing exhaust emissions.
Intake Valve Deposits form on the intake side or back side of the valves. As deposits increase, they restrict airflow and alter airflow patterns in the cylinder. The deposits disrupt the balanced air/fuel ratio by momentarily absorbing and releasing fuel, and they can cause valve sticking by getting in the way of the valve stem and guide. Deposits also restrict proper seating, and the valves may be burned. Intake valve deposits cause lost engine power, increased emissions, poor engine efficiency and potential valve failure.
Combustion Chamber Deposits form on the top of the pistons and on the cylinder heads. They increase compression and absorb heat during combustion to later release it during the intake cycle. In some engines with tight squish domes, combustion chamber deposits cause the piston to actually hit the cylinder head. This is referred to as combustion chamber deposit interference or carbon rap. Combustion chamber deposits also flake off as they get large, and these flakes can get trapped between the valves and valve seat, resulting in compression loss, difficult starting and rough idle.
Higher compression and stored heat cause increased intake fresh charge temperatures and the increased likelihood of pre-ignition knock or pinging when the fuel spontaneously combusts prior to spark ignition. This increases emissions and may cause engine damage. Many of today’s cars have knock sensors that adjust spark timing to prevent knock.
Although audible knock is controlled, power is lost from retarded timing. Higher octane fuels of 4-5 octane numbers can be used to help prevent knock, an effect called octane requirement increase. As a vehicle ages, more-expensive, higher-octane fuel is needed to keep it operating at peak performance. By cleaning combustion chamber deposits, knock is controlled, power is restored, fuel economy increases and higher-octane fuels are less necessary for peak performance.
Maximum Fuel Economy
AMSOIL P.i. maximizes fuel efficiency by dissolving and removing fuel system deposits and other contaminants for improved power and overall performance.
Recommendations
Treat one full tank of gas up to 20 gallons with one bottle of P.i. For very large gas tanks, partially fill to 40 gallons and treat with two bottles of P.i. Using more than two bottles per treatment is not recommended. Treat gas every 4,000 miles of service (or 100 hours for marine, stationary and off-road gasoline-powered engines). P.i. helps pass emission tests by running one tank of treated fuel through the engine prior to testing. Safe for use with catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, oxygenated gas and 10 percent ethanol blended gas. Not recommended for two-cycle engines.
DANGER: Combustible. Harmful or fatal if swallowed. Harmful if inhaled. Skin and eye irritant. Read precautions on container before use.
